Book Fairs |
Volunteers
help set up and sell books at the Fall and
Spring Book Fair functions. |

Box Tops & Food Labels |
Volunteers help cut,
count and submit Box Tops, Tyson's, and 'Labels for Education'
food labels to earn money and supplies for the
school. |

Building & Grounds |
Volunteers work to enhance the school's
inside and outside
appearance throughout the school year. Various
projects include: painting, planting and weeding
flower beds, spreading mulch, and trimming bushes. |
|
Career Day |
Volunteers help with
organizing a career fair held during the
Spring Semester. Presenters are also needed to
volunteer at the event where students meet with them
and learn about various occupations. |
|
Communications |
Volunteers help promote
events by creating and posting flyers, updating
bulletin boards, publishing weekly newsletters, and
updating information on the website. |
|
Copy Center |
Volunteers
assist with copying, laminating, cutting, and
assembling materials for instructional use. |
|
Cultural Arts &
Reflections |
Volunteers assist with
organizing student enrichment
programs and performances throughout the year and
coordinate the school's participation in the PTA Reflections program in the
Fall semester. |

Fall Gathering |
Volunteers plan and
execute the annual family Fall festival event at
the school. |
|
Fifth Grade Celebration |
5th Grade Parent
volunteers plan and organize fun events for all the
5th Grade students on the last day of school. |
|
Go Green Program |
Pepsi Co. Grant Program:
volunteers help collect, weigh, and log the bags of
bottles and cans that have been recycled at school.
Volunteers also organize the other recycling programs
and promote Go Green activities throughout the
school. |

Guidance Program |
Volunteers support the
Guidance Program in the following areas...
Character Education: assist with bulletin boards, publicity, and
implementation of various character education activities
including Red Ribbon Week, STARS program, and
Parenting Workshops. PTA Resource Corner:
maintain a library of books, video and audio tapes,
and printed materials on parenting skills & teaching
tips, as well as children's books for adult
checkout. Other Special Projects/Programs:
Clothing & School Supply Closet, Share-a-Shirt,
Treats for Troops, Holiday Hugs, Canned Food Drive,
and the 5th Grade
Service Project. |

Hospitality |
Volunteers
donate and serve food for the special
teacher & staff lunches and snacks. |
|
Lunch Helper |
Volunteers assist students in the food line
and at tables during the lunch period as needed. The
school lunch window is from 11:00-1:30. Half hour
lunch help for younger grades is appreciated! |

Media Center |
Volunteers help with
various activities in the Media Center: assisting
students, shelving books, processing new materials,
repairing worn & torn materials, and compiling
bibliographies. They also assist with
circulation, taking inventory, and operating the
Book Fairs. |

Movie Nights |
Volunteers help set up
and run concessions at Family Movie Night events. |
|
Music Program |
Volunteers work with the
Music teacher to help organize and coordinate music
performances. Activities include: creating
props, setting up stage materials, and operating the
sound system. |
|
Parent Outreach |
The committee implements programs and opportunities to
improve participation in school activities and PTA
programs, including ESL and SEPTA. |
|
P.E. Program |
Volunteers assist with
physical education testing, filling out forms and
writing out certificates during the Fall Semester.
They also work with students during the Winter to
prepare for the annual First in Fitness competition
in the Spring. |

Safety Patrol |
5th Grade Parent
volunteers work with the Assistant Principal in
supporting the Safety Patrol during the quarterly
shift rotations and also organize fun events for the
students throughout the year. |
|
School Pictures |
Volunteers assist students and photographers on
picture day in the Fall and Spring. |
|
School Spirit |
Volunteers help organize
school spirit activities and coordinate appearances
for our mascot, "Bailey the Bulldog", at school events! |
|
School Store |
Volunteers sell items at
the school store each week, prior to the morning
bell. |
|
Science Expo |
Volunteers help with the
planning and execution of the Baileywick Science Expo held in

Super Kids Day |
Volunteers help with
outside activity centers during a 2-day Field Day
event in the Spring. |
|
Teacher Appreciation Week |
Volunteers plan and
execute a week full of activities in February
to acknowledge the work and efforts of all our Teachers and
Staff. Activities include: appreciation notes
from students, fresh flower arrangements, goodie
bags, and classroom supplies. |
|
Testing Proctors |
Volunteers help monitor
the students in the classroom during the testing
period; the actual tests will be administered by the
school staff. Proctors are needed in February
and also in May for
the EOGs - "End of Grade" Testing. |
|
Tutoring |
Volunteers may work with
students from all grades on reading, writing, and/or
math skills. Volunteers are matched with their
grade preference. There are a variety of time
commitments (30-45-60-90-120 minutes) available to
fit the volunteer's schedule. It is preferable
that the time commitment be weekly. |
|
Vision Screening |
Volunteers assist the school nurse in administering
eye tests to students in the early Fall semester. |
|

Fundraising |
Volunteers assist the PTA's
VP with PTA fundraising
events in the Fall and Spring. |
|
Yearbook |
Volunteers take
photographs at events throughout the school year and assist with the preparation of the annual
yearbooks. |
